NDBODP is Seeking Executive Secretary

The North Dakota Board of Dietetic Practice is seeking an independent contractor by April of 2021 to provide executive secretary services for the board on a part time basis. The current executive secretary will be ending services on May 15, 2021.


Ideally, the candidate would be a registered dietitian with good communication, computer, and business management skills.  Responsibilities include:


  • serving as primary contact for the NDBODP and processes incoming emails, mail, phone calls and faxes
  • communicating information to board members or legal counsel as needed
  • processing of license applications and renewals
  • maintaining licensee databases
  • preparing materials for board meetings and listing meetings on the ND Secretary of State website
  • sending out annual renewal notices to licensees
  • preparing board meeting minutes
  • providing written verification of licenses as requested
  • updating of NDBODP website
  • making accounting entries in Quickbooks
  • handling of financial disbursements
  • preparing of annual financial report to the State Auditor’s Office
  • preparing of annual budget
  • facilitating of strategic planning with the board
  • carrying out other projects as determined by the board


Candidate must operate independently from personal office and be equipped with office support equipment to carry out functions of the position (i.e. computer, word processing, accounting, faxing, making copies, and scanning of documents). Must have internet connection and phone as well as ability to provide secure space to store records of the board and three file cabinets. Candidate must carry business liability insurance.
